Seeking an Operations Manager to be the "captain" of the daily operations at The Beacon, Madison's only day homelessness resource center. Our Operations Manager must have strong leadership skills, be able to make sound decisions, and be highly organized. Facility/Operations Duties:

  • Works directly with Dane County Human Services to insure building upkeep.
  • Manages fire and emergency plans and drills.
  • Maintains contact with all vendors and monitors contract compliance.
  • Maintains files for vendors.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Compiles reports for the leadership team monthly and sends reports to the county quarterly. Oversees Porchlight and County Client Assistance Programs.
  • Manages monthly staff schedules and approves requests for PTO.
  • Manages Partner Agencies Schedules and posts monthly.
  • Schedules team meetings and creates agendas.
  • Manages many projects assigned by the director and other members of the leadership team.


  • Working with people who have mental health and substance abuse issues
  • 2-3 years administrative support experience
  • Experience with homelessness services a plus
