Responsible for providing supervision and support of residents in Hope Haven's residential programs.  Also responsible for thorough communication with program's Associate Director or program Manager and clinical staff.  Services delivered must be consistent with state and federal regulations, the established care delivery model, and the general operating philosophy and agency values.

 

Principle Accountabilities

 

  1. Provide a welcoming and supportive presence for all clients, demonstrating interest in and availability to clients.
  2. Insure that clients are aware of program expectations and scheduling, providing prompts and encouragement as necessary to clients who are not following expectations.
  3. Facilitate client education and educational discussion groups.
  4. Assist with case management and documentation processes.
  5. Provide orientation for new clients.
  6. Administer urinalysis and breathalyzer tests.
  7. Provide medication monitoring and related documentation.
  8. Document notable interactions with clients including observations related to clients' attitudes related to treatment and recovery, interactions with peers, compliance with rules and regulations, and other relevant information.
  9. Responsible for overall house management, organization, and upkeep.
  10. Perform assigned housekeeping and maintenance activities.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Familiarity with substance use disorders and general recovery principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in active listening and supportive counseling.
  • Clear understanding and boundaries related to personal recovery, 12 Step self-help, and professional treatment.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile, and sufficient insurance to meet agency requirements unless exempted prior to employment.
