Hope Haven is in need of a full time Primary Counselor/Case Manager for our AODA program. Under the Clinical Supervisor, our Primary Counselor delivers top-notch client care. This position will be responsible for providing both case management and treatment services for those struggling with drug, alcohol, and/or legal issues. 

The hours of this position will be Sunday - Thursday from 10:30 AM until 8:30 PM


  • Preforms formal intake interviews and assessments and conducts orientation for all new client admissions.
  • Creates a structured and progressively graduated treatment curriculum including individualized therapeutic exercises that are assigned for each client. 
  • Develops and implement treatment plans guided by patient's individual strengths and goals with the focus on improving client's independence, global functioning, and quality of life.
  • May supervisor interns, providing observation, instruction, evaluation, and weekly feedback.
  • Facilitates weekly group therapy sessions and lead psycho-educational groups.
  • Administer alcohol breathalyzer screenings, urine toxicology screens, and monitor medications. 
  • Responds to emergency crisis situations in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. 



  • Must have a MS Degree.
  • Minimum of a Substance Abuse Counselor in Training license granted by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
  • Must have a LCSW or LPC license.
  • Must have a driver's license, automobile, and sufficient insurance to meet agency requirements.
    Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills are required to be successful in this role.
