Catholic Charities is searching for a Program Coordinator to support our Respite Care Team Ministry! This position is responsible for the day to day operations of the program which consists of congregational based teams of volunteers who support the needs of clients in the rural and metropolitan communities within Dane County. If you enjoy working with faith communities and working with amazing teams of volunteers, this position may be for you! This unique role requires availability on evenings and some weekends to accommodate team meeting schedules, presentations at congregations, and training. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  •         Developing up to date informational materials to market the program throughout the county to congregations of all denominations.
  •         Working collaboratively with Dane County congregations to support the Respite Care Team Ministry model, and to assist with team formation and provide ongoing support as needed.
  •         Develop and maintain program training manuals and documentation.
  •         Act as a mentor to new team members/leaders to gain skills and confidence in their volunteer position by offering training opportunities and support as needed.
  •         Support the holistic approach by addressing physical, emotional/intellectual, and spiritual components of the program to team members, leaders, and clients.

Qualifications:

  •          Bachelor's Degree of Social Work or other human services field and one year of experience in the field is preferred, OR Associate's degree with 3 years of experience working with the aging population is required.
  •          Working experience with or knowledge of Dane County aging services is preferred.
  •          Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  •          Experience with coordinating large numbers of volunteers.
  •          Comfortable, confident, and capable of working with congregations of all denominations is required.
  •          Strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Publisher are preferred.
  •          Skilled in data collection, tracking, and reporting.
