Catholic Charities NEW Housing Navigation Services Program has the need for a part time Housing Specialist and Community Educator! We are searching for an outgoing, relatable, and talented team member who will provide information, education, support and referral services to those in need of stable housing or who have experienced the challenge of chronic homelessness. This 20 hour a week position will be split doing 11 hours a week as a Housing Specialist and 9 hours a week as a Community Educator. 

 In this role, you will have the opportunity to help guests at the Beacon and establish a supportive relationship for all clients you work with. You will access their needs and develop a plan to work towards housing stability. You will support our client's diverse cultural needs and help them work towards finding housing. 

As a Community Educator, you will provide community outreach and presentations throughout the community to bring attention to the Housing Navigation resources and provide information on the housing navigation program website. You will conduct two community presentation/outreach meetings every week. You will create materials to identify resources for client employment and training assistance. 

Qualifications: 

BA degree in Social Work or related field preferred. 
Experienced public speaker who is comfortable speaking in various community settings.
Expert communicator - both verbally and written. 
Must be a creative problem solver.
