Our Skills Trainers are true superstars that work with our amazing consumers at Community Connections! If you are looking to make a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities, this position is one you should not pass up. Our Skills Trainers are responsible for the direct supervision, care, and training of consumers while they attend Community Connections Monday through Friday.

Main Duties:

        Establish a supportive relationship with each consumer by working directly with them.

        Provide active supervision, facilitation, and training to consumers at the facility and in the community.

        Ensure that the facility is ready for consumer programming by maintaining cleanliness and organization.

        Communicate with co-workers, consumers, guardians, residential providers and care managers in a respectful, culturally competent and professional manner.

        Physically transfer and/or maneuver consumers to and from various locations, positions and in and out of vehicles.

        Provide personal care to consumers in the facility and in community settings.

        Provide consumer transportation in an insured company vehicle

        Provide input on the planning of consumer programming at the facility and in the community.
