Catholic Charities has an immediate opening for a full time Home Manager to provide a lead role in the support and supervision of our client homes. This leadership role involves a blend of direct care shifts and management responsibilities. The Home Manager is responsible for the supervision, guidance, and training of the direct care staff, coordinating services, supporting daily living skills, scheduling medical appointments, and overseeing paperwork.

  • Starting hourly wage of $18.00-$19.00/hour depending on experience.

Principal Accountabilities

Client Services: Direct Support

  • Provide support with activities of daily living, such as personal care, dietary preferences/menu planning, medication regimen, therapy exercises, money management, and cleaning.
  • Provide the appropriate level of supervision to each client according to his/her needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of each client's support plan, recognize patterns and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and thorough documentation for each client. Monitor and report behavior to the appropriate manager in a timely manner.
  • Develop a therapeutic relationship with the client and maintain appropriate boundaries.

Administrative

  • Post monthly schedule in the house and ensure schedule is up to date as changes occur.
  • Monitor client's medications administration record (MAR) for accuracy and communicate with medical professionals as needed.
  • Review client's paperwork and lists weekly for accuracy and progress updates. Maintain an inventory of household paperwork and supplies and replenish when needed.
  • Monitor expenditures made for each client and the residence.

Professional Operations

  • Meet with supervisor weekly to update on each client's status and assist with administrative duties in the office as assigned.
  • Participate in client team meetings to discuss progress and update team as needed with client changes.
  • Serve as the main trainer for new staff in the household and provide ongoing coaching on how to best support the client.
  • Facilitate staff meetings on a regular basis to ensure that the care plan for each client is being followed.
  • Assist the Case Manager with reviewing the service plan annually or when a client has a change in condition.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities is required.
  • Behavioral or CNA experience preferred.
  • Management and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the English language is required with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A reliable vehicle with valid driver's license, appropriate proof of auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record is required.
  • Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds and tolerate medium to physical effort including walking, standing, lifting, stooping, squatting, bending, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling.
